What is the easiest way to take the wax layer off of a piece of zircote. Scrapping is what i have been doing just wondering if there is an easier way

Paper towel or news paper and a clothes iron.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

I put it in my vice and scrap off most of it with a flat scrapper then put it through my drum sander, set just enough to take off the wax.  It takes off the wax and cleans my drum sander as well.

I use the scraper method followed by an old
belt on the belt sander- I think I'm gonna
try Pats method next time.

I bandsaw off the ends then to the Jointer. I leave it wide & tall since the jointer blade still has a little wax.  Then back to the bandsaw.

At the joiner, alternating the waxed wood with a unwaxed 2x4 throw away piece helps keep the wax down.

Don't forget the wax on your fingers before you go to dewax everything.
