All of these pics were within 50 yards of my back door. I think I was destined to become a bowyer.

The base of this tree is interesting.  It comes out of the ground and is folded over for about 3' before it turns and goes up.

It's gotta be good mojo to have a stand built up in an old Osage!

Is everybody invited to the party, or do you have to have an actual invitation  :biglaugh:

I'll hitchhike all the way there, so save some grub for me, may take a bit

Heres a few pics of some that I am waiting to cut when I absolutely cant find it anywhere else. Theyre nice and straight  but man are they in a tangled up mess of a thicket.

This is cool! Osage dosen't grow around here naturally so it's nice to see what they look like.

Pat, it has been my go to bow for almost 3 years now. I made up my mind that I would hunt it until we score. Came real close last year on a nice buck and didn't bow hunt 1 day this year! Times have been a little rough and my work takes most of my time anymore. Plus I got's me two Grandchildren, I've lost most of my private land hunting to people moving away, selling it, splitting up of land or passing away. My WMA is 25 miles there and 25 back plus it gets hunted pretty hard.
Anyway, you're right. I like the bow very much!

Thanks Roy  :bigsmyl:

Okie64,

Maybe a dumb question, but what are the green round looking things on the ground around your trees?  Couldnt quit make them out, put to curious to not ask.

Thanks,

Joe,

Never had private land to hunt up here, and the edges of the city just keep moving out more all the time. Now its about the same as you, 20-25 each way to get somewhere to legally hunt.
Tons of deer in closer, but all the bunny huggers wont let anyone hunt them, all they do is take pics and complain when they hit em.
