Yes I built a 3pc and it shoot great, very smooth draw.

Zebra sure aint the worst core you can use but there is lighter stuff such as actionboo or actionwood even edge grain elm and use your zebra for veneers.

Expensive core wood but I imagine it would work good. Veneers would be the way to go in my opinion.
