juniper

I am a hobby bowyer and have experience with quite a few bow wood but have never dealt with juniper. My question deals with wood I saw in a NW lumber yard last week. They had a pile of Juniper timbers in different sizes. Have any of you made board bows from Juniper like this instead of logs or branches?

I have never used a cut timber but have seen a few, and thought it would be a good experiment for a sinewed shortie. I bet if you look for one that's cut real straight to the rings and sinew backed it it would probably work great. Juniper loves sinew and makes a snappy shrot bow
