« on: February 13, 2013, 06:32:00 PM »
I have some cocoa accent pieces On an Osage bow I sprayed a coat of spar urethane And the coat over the cocoa remains tacky... I cleaned it with some denatured alcohol previous to application... does cocoa not like spar urethane? any thoughts

Cocoa likes to be sealed first- super glue or something like bullseye shellac work well- then the finish.

bullseye shellac first.  resand the coco and spray 3-4 coats or until pores are filled with that then spar it

Yup,have had good luck with a coat of super glue first
