Best time to heat, straighten, add reflex
« on: February 14, 2013, 09:47:00 PM »
I have some straightening to do on an Osage snakey stave to bring the string in line with center, and I want to add some reflex. It is floor tillered now, so when do I get the best results ? I am thinking I should do it now before I get to far,
 I am not sure.

Once I get it to floor tiller I round all the edges and smooth it out with a scraper.  Then I make all the heat corrections/reflex.

Floor tiller is a good time to straighten and reflex. You won't know for sure how the string tracks until first bracing.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
