My "New" Selfbow
« on: February 16, 2013, 02:43:00 PM »
I started this bow at least 8 years ago.  I remember showing it to Tim Ott at MOJam in 2005 so it has to be at least that long ago.

It is osage with recurved tips.  The stave was really thin so I left some sapwood on the back of the handle and extended that to the tips as some natural overlays.

The bow is 58" NTN, 47# @ 27", 1-1/2" wide at the fades and tapers to 1/2" wide at the start of the recurves which is 6" from the nocks..  Snappy little shooter.
