Pat, very nice as usual.  The tiller is perfect.  The unstrung pics are my favorites.  That skin is very unique looking.

Thanks guys.
Mark, I've got an urge to make a short(50"to52")sinew backed static recurve, maybe with Grumley tips. I remember seeing a pic of Norm Baker years ago with a short sinew backed recurve that was appealing too.
David, thats why I chose that skin. The color of the skin improved putting it over the osage back. It was one long skin I cut in half(Across the middle) and put one half on each limb. The ends of the skins are wrapped at the tips with silk thread and super glue and the handle wrap holds it at the handle.

Pat...I built a short static several years ago...have to see if I can resurrect the pic.   Came out great, for an experiment.  Haven't hunted with it yet.  One of my "shorties" is another static...

I've been mentoring a few newbies to selfbowyery the past few weeks with Walt Francis, and my son and his friend, so have'nt really put much time into my own projects lately.  Soon, though.

Pat. I'd have big cheesy grin if I could make bows like that too. Very Nice. Have you ever gotten your beard caught in the string!?

Mark, I'd love to see pics when you have time.

Ohhhhhh man, I like those bows!     :clapper:    :clapper:    :clapper:

Pat, good to see you are back at the bow bench.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Nice work Pat,
if and when you start on your "shortie" would you be so kind to take us along, would love to see your process.
I've been playing with a 60" hickory recurve that I want to sinew back.
So many bows so little time!!! :bigsmyl:
Regards.
