? for form makers
« on: March 16, 2013, 07:54:00 PM »
My son just finished my plan for the 62/64" D/R longbow.

I already sell the  plywood templates for router use to make a really good form. These plans were meant to go with the template, but now the question, mainly for those who have built a form with only the template.

Will the plan be worth the extra $10.00 to go with the $20.00 template, or would a good riser plan suffice?

It would be less money, just not sure how bad folks need the paper plan, when you have the template to run the bow profile with.

What say ye?  :wavey:
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Both that way you could always go back and check the plans and notes.

Honesty Kenny, the plan would help guys that needed it or wanted it. I wouldn't pay ten bucks for a piece of paper, but thats just me. I know some would. I would offer it as an option.

I'd also say that having the plans as an option would be nice.

The best combo for me would be...The template, a riser plan, limb and tip widths and some stack thicknesses for builds from 40#s up to 60#s...

I would pay the $10 for the plan. I like to accumulate all the information I can.

A schematic is always good to double check numbers with. I would definitely offer it as a option.

Kenny I think it's a good option, a lot of new bowyers and vets will take any info they can get their grubby little hands on. Me included.

I agree I'd keep it as a option. I'll take all the info I can get. Sometimes things just look better on paper to me.
