Got a bow done today, it won't be goin to the St Judes, it has a couple fat glue lines.

Buuut will take some pics and maybe offer to build one like it in their choice of color and possible weight change...

Or should I just build another next weekend and it is what it is?  Hmmmm

Rebuilt my form to cure the glue line probs BTW...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Kenny, its up to you, but I doubt a kid would even notice the glue lines. I'm sure you are being picky. Also no reason you couldn't make two.  ;)

Mine is ready for shaping the handle and final sanding, 48" tip to tip and 14# at 15 inches. Finally a bow I can draw back:)

Looking good Roy.
I have my first one posted in forum 4 already. I hope I can get at least one more finished. I have one almost there, just need to sand it down and pretty it up.

This is the first bow off the new kid's bow press, it has a fat glue line on riser belly so it is stayin here locally.

This one is 50" ntn, 24# @ 22" and 28# @ 24"

Angle cut veneers, maple core, really zips an arrow.

24" is max draw for best results. any more it may stack and shouldn't be drawn farther.

I will build one just like it for the auction winner in this color(Desert Camo) , or Green Mountain camo, or Charcoal Grey , or Nutmeg Brown.

Your kid can have a custom just like Dad does!

He/She can pick their color and you can help em with the fine points like draw length and weight.

It is cool! I went ahead and built a top form for it, my hose and rope deal didn't go as planned!

I'm gonna build it to suit the auction winning bidder and this one goes to a little gal at the local pro shop. Her Dad and bro are gonna hunt with longbows this year, Bro killed a hog in TX with his and got em all fired up!!

Now they know it will get r done and they are wound up!!

That's looks wicked cool Kenny.  Good idea to use those pics and let the winner decide the final specs. That should bring a higher bid for the kiddos too.

I spent last night working on my second kids bow for the auction. I shot it quite a bit yesterday and it smokes an arrows pretty well.It has about 18 inches of working limb and u was drawing it out to 23 in. It starts to stack there because I recurved the tips a bit. I still need to finish sanding, put a rest on it, skin it and finish it up. Oh and out the other tip overlay on it to. I am using gemsbuck horn this time. My phone is still on the fritz so I can't post pics of anything for awhile.
