« on: March 26, 2013, 04:57:00 PM »
I have never used black glass before.. this one is a 66"D/R built on my kennym 62"/64" form. I nailed the target weight of 35# @ 28". amberboo parallels, powerlam and tapers, brown actionwood riser, 043 ULS black glass. red and black tips

Very nice work on the tips. One of my favorite parts of building a bow.

Thanks for the kind words! I have 10 more pieces of black glass, 7 more risers and a 4 1/2" stack of amberboo tapers ready to go..gonna try to glue up 5 "blanks" next week and build all of them at the same time..I might slip a couple of pieces of 020 carbon into one of them just to see what happens..I have had the carbon for 4 years, might as well use it.
