Finished this Duo
« on: April 09, 2013, 08:13:00 PM »
Shared wood on these two, also chanded the riser on the second one to see if I could make the lines flow a bit better also added a phenolic I beam. Tell me what ya think!

Pretty sweet Cory!  I see you've got a thing for black glass on the back and clear on the belly.  I like that combo   ;)

When do you find time to build all the bows you do with that newborn?

Look like a couple of good shooters for sure. I really like the longbows I have built with belly mounted limbs.

John I thought about going clear on the back also on the left bow but I but uni carbon directly under the black glass to see if it added any performance. As soon as I get a chance I'll shoot it through the chrono.

The wife get a little irritated every once in a while but she is pretty understanding, she says it better than sitting in the bar.

Kenny thanks, I can't  decide which riser I prefer they are both great shooting bows the left one is 64@28 and the right is 42@28. I used the standard insert on the right one and a 9/16 x12tpi 33/64 insert on the left.  It's holding the 64 lb limbs fine right now, shot a 3d tourney with it last Saturday with no issues.

Nice pair, my eyes did not get really used to the risers` form but it`s getting better. The I looks great but I`d prefer the right riser with it...

those are very nice bows. with good combos. On the belly mounts to me the accent looks much better following the curve of the bow. Just me though.

I like those tip overlays! Bowsare great overall. The reverse handle is cool on a longbow too. If I had one it'd be all laughs because every time I went to string it I'd be scratching my head.

Clear glass on the belly make perfect sense!  That way the shooter gets to admire the fine wood combos, as long as the admiring doesn't distract you from making a good shot.   :)
