How much Thunderbird for a bow?

I am about to spray my first bow with Thunderbird finish, and was wondering how much do you need to spray a longbow.I don't want to mix up too much or too little,any help would be great. Thanks  Gerald

If you have your riser and limb edges filled properly then three coats should be plenty. It would be better to mix not enough than too much. If you mix too much then you have waste. So maybe two oz. to start and see how far you get. Trial and error for the first one then go off that in the futher.

I mix two ounces at a time.  adding a little thinner between each coat if it more than 24 hours between applications.

Gerry if you have some left over you can put it in a glass jar with a little extra thinner and it will keep for a couple of weeks. I've done this for years and have never had a problem. Just make sure that the jar is sealed good and that you let it warm to room temp before spraying.

I end up using about 2 tablespoons of finish per coat (1 A & 1 B, not including the thinner)

Do you have any pictures yet of the new bow? Is this the one you are going to take bowfishing?

Thanks South for the amounts,and Alex no this won't be a bowfishing rig but, it will be done befor we all go,and I am already starting the recurve build.Just put the last coat of t-bird on today.
