Which glue for what?

So I was wondering what type of glue I should use to laminate the plastic strip Binghams gives you for the bow form.  Will titebond work or will it give when I heat the bow in the oven?  CA?  

Also, what type of glue do I use to glue the two halves of my laminates together (as in the two 3' sections that'll make the overall 6' lam)? what about the tips and backing strip?  Does CA glue react to epoxy?

I used contact adhesive for the form strip, can't remember the brand though. I use smooth on ea40 for laminations and overlays.

I use super sticky two-sided tape for the formica, and lam halves are butt-spliced on 45 degree angles with Smooth On, cured under a blanketed shop light for a couple hours. You can find the tape in home improvement stores in the flooring section. I also use it to adhere built up leather shelves and strike plates to the bow... good stuff.

I used cyanocrylite a few times for the butt-splice, but they came apart a couple times during the glue up while bending over the deflex area. Once that happens, there's no way to push them back together and there's going to be a gap... they can also lift the lam above the failed joint causing a small gap between the lams handy to the splice.

Oh yeah, almost forgot... I cut those splices on a 45 degree angle AND use the toothing plane blade to groove those tiny gluing surfaces... then Smooth On under the shop light.... no more worries

I have only used 040 fiberglass for the form surface. I use 3M "High strength 90" contact adhesive spray.. it's expensive but work well for me. it is also good for high heat applications... For the lams I grind/sand a pretty sharp angle and use superglue to glue them together, "smooth on" would likely be better for this joint, I have had no problems with the Gorilla Glue "Impact Resistant" super glue
