I would like to post how this blank came out, but I am without camera.
The blank I recieved from Dryad was extremely well done, and the Cocobolo used for the rise and tip overlays is absolutely gorgeous. Very fine glue lines, and it hit the weight advertised right on the money.
NOt really much to do, but some finishing rasp work, shaping the arrow shelf, and then sealing the cocobolo and finish sanding the whole thing.
I am now doing the final coats of Minwax spray polyurethane (ten coats gloss, and 3 coats satin over top) The "layers" of poly are very fine coats, no thick stuff. Don't need to deal with runs, or pulls.
Thanks for supplying such a well done "blank," Dryad.
This is an extremely easy way to get into building your "own" bow, with out a major outlay for tools and shop equipment.
I would recommend these GBB's to anyone who wants to have their "own" bow. They are a great value.
No shooting results yet, as I am awaiting rotator cuff surgery, I can't pull a bow for a while. :(
