Savate, Bowhunting them can be tough, with a bow,It's best done from a ground blind or some other type of frontal concealment. The little buggers have a certain knack for spotting the bow being drawn back. I am not good with a diaphram call, but had no trouble mastering a box or slate. The turkeys seem to like them , I've wacked two a year for a few years. I've found that I prefer my 45#recurve for them, shots typically are 10 yds or less from my blind and I think any standard broadhead works fine as long as the turkey is in two pieces when I pick them up off of the ground. I'm only joking .I use Stinger 2 Blades, 2016 shafts and an arrow grabber placed behind the broadhead to prevent passthrough, I've never lost a turkey that the arrow stayed in. I did lose one that I shot with a compound a couple of years back, The arrow went through and the turkey flew off of the side of the ridge and glided clear out of sight. Good Luck, hope that there is something here to help you.
