Great wood combo and I really like your riser.

So, in theory, you could use thinner maple lams to get the same weight. Any maple-to-bamboo conversion ratio ideas?

Yes, thinner maple lams to get the same weight-A wag would be .010 in core thickness as a starting point.

I got the limbs shaped and mounted- just need to spray them. With any luck I'll get that done this afternoon.
They finished 53#@28" which is 7#s lighter than the maple limbs with the same stack using a bamboo core. Both sets shoot great so now I'll have to decide which ones to use next weekend...

Gorgeous looking riser and limbs David!

Hard maple edge grain is hard to beat as core wood. You just need to adjust your stacks. And the fact that it takes less to get the weight you most likely are not going to change the performance and it may be even better than A-boo.

In my way of thinking it doesn't come any better than good old maple.  Great job as usual Dave.
