wow! Amazing work.... I've never seen detail like this go into a build. How many hours do you have into this project?

Nyarrow  there is probably about 16hr of glue time. There is about another 10hr so far in the riser.

Here are a couple new pics. I had planned to have this build finish by now. Something came up and had to put it on the back burner for awhile.

The core is red elm with Claro walnut wedges.

 


Curly Koa veneers.

those veneers look tremendous before they're under glass even....that's going to really pop!!!!

I use a sled to taper my wedges. Once I sand the wedge to thickness it gets tapered.

I am going to shoot for about 58# on this one. The red elm core is all ground. I will try and post some more pics in the next few days.

Cool your spacer to taper the wedges/get a slope looks same as mine   :D
(But my riser don`t look the same unfortunatly....)

This needs to come back up.  Brushwolf, have you finished this bow?

This thread was the inspiration for me to figure out how to do a flared riser.  thanks a million!
