Anyone makes glass-lam crossbow prods?
« on: September 26, 2013, 03:44:00 PM »
As the title says... I´m going to make some fibre covered and boo cored prods and would apreciate any information on them!
I`ve found a BA for a BP recurved prod on PA and followed a topic about on arbalests guild- but I`m not able to find anything useful anymore...

Thought about straight or slightly flipped ends for the beginnig and about 100-150# @ 12-14" for the Beginning.

Thanks in advance fellas!

Probably not the best place to ask anything regarding an Arrow Gun.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Oh I`m so sorry guys- I had no idea... I just thought this place was also good to ask about small glass bows; maybe I shall point out that it`s going to be a traditional medival style one with nut lock etc...
Please don`t feel offended   :(

Sorry Moe, TG rules don't allow the discussion of crossbows. So you wont get much discussion here.Someone may know something and e-mail you though.

So once again I apologize for my fault!
I wasn`t going to talk about the whole thing but only a bow and this seemed to be a good place- just considering the numberless highly gifted bowmakers around here...
One last, I did not want to make one only for myself nor for anybodies huntig (anyway only firearms may be used here) but as a gift to a close friend who lost his hand in an accident last year.
Since then he is not able to shoot his longbow anymore so I`m going to build something for him to keep on shooting with me and the others!
The veneers and stock will be same as his favorite longbow and style will be 13th century to keep it as trad as possible...

But with these reactions and the generall rules I think it`s best thing to delete the whole topic!

Regards
