I lay them together, put a backing piece behind them, and cut them on a 45 on my miter saw. Then I groove the little gluing surfaces with a toothing plane blade so the joint won't be starved of glue. I use Smooth On epoxy, wrap them with plastic wrap, and clamp them to my flat workbench... set a desk lamp near them and throw a towel over them to retain the heat. This makes fo a strong joint and they'll stay together even when bent into a strong deflex. I had less success with superglue and smooth surfaces.
