Backing for persimmon
« on: November 10, 2013, 05:40:00 PM »
I have a 40 inch trunk of persimmon I plan on cutting two 40inch slats for splicing.  What is the best/most compatible backing material?  Would like to build a static recurve about 68 inches non.

I wouldn't back it or if I did sinew.

I guess that really depends on how you slice it!
