Two for Christmas.
« on: December 01, 2013, 07:29:00 PM »
I'm building these two for a husband and wife for Christmas. The The riser on the left is Koa with Bocote and Osage accents. The one on the right is Koa and Cocobola with Bocote and Wenge accents. They both will have the same limbs. spliced Koa. No finish on the risers yet. Tony

It really is amazing what you can do with fiberglassed bows. Pretty stuff.

I've put two coats of poly on the risers. I have one set of limbs ready to begin tillering. I still have to glue up the second limbs. Tony

Just put the limbs on the first one, the Koa one. The bottom limb is stiffer, within 1/8" of the top. Very minimal tiller needed on this one, thank goodness! I believe the weight will be close as well. Tony
