Looking for Yew
« on: December 10, 2013, 11:04:00 AM »
Anyone know where to look for some Yew? I'd love a stave, but really can't afford (read too cheap to buy) a $100+ stave. Billets would be cool too ... but truthfully, even just a decent piece of lumber would be stellar.

Especially since I could rip it into a number of belly lams ... That'd probably be the most economical route.

Any thoughts? Thanks ahead of time.

Try woodcrafters or other specialty lumber companies.  I have a few sets of billets. You might be able to talk me out of a set. They have a bit of twist to them but a little heat should remedy that.
