Now smooth the limb edges , taking care to not run a glass sliver in your hand, hurts like heck and don't do the bow any good either. Note how I curve the edge of paper up toward center of bow. That is the direction you will pick up a sliver.
Nocks filed in, we find a string, have some old ones in shop to use while nocks aren't smoothed out yet, string her up and put on machine to look tiller over...
Also check weight, really good!!!
A little tweaking, tillering and sanding edges and here we are...
OK, now for overlays, here I've peeled the tape after litely scoring on an 11" spot in center of bow. My skive looks pretty good under that glass.....
Here we glue on the overlays, 1 black, 1 red, 1 walnut. The actionwood pc is just for clamping it......
Same on tips, don't forget to rough up the glass on the limb so glue can grab. I glued on with CA, but will wish I'd used EA-40 by the time I get done sanding the overlay to limb glass area.....
