Help With Extreme Recurves!!

So here's the problem.  I'm trying to replicate,  in wood and glass, the profile (but not the thickness)of ancient Scythian horsebows; particularly this one.  
       

The static tip recurves are on the order of a 3" diameter 1/2 circle, as you can see.  

I can build the core from LOTS of very thin lams (.01 or .02) that will make that bend, but conventional .030 glass doesn't really bend that small.

My first thought is to make a two or three lam core and glass it back and belly.  Then make those tips like siyahs -- as separate constructions of just laminated wood, glued onto the best limb recurve I can attain.  This is much the way the Scythians made their wood-horn-sinew bows.

Any other/better ideas?

Definitly the siyahway, those fading in between the limbs` lams like a riser does is way the best solution I guess.

I think you could build the core up with your lams get the basic core shaped. The glass does not need to go pass the static tips start point. then all you would need to do is use the .01 lams like overlays and butt them to the glass out to the tips. But then I have never built a Scythian or a glass bow before so take my stuff with a grain of salt.

I agree with the all wood siyahs. If you're concerned about strength you could wrap them in fiberglass or carbon cloth (very lightweight and flexible and then wet out with epoxy resin.
