Sure am glad the lams came in at 1.5"
Wanted to end up at 1.25"...and stupidly ordered that.

It seems to be solid enough.

Just took it out of the form and trimmed some of the boogers off...

Thanks for the lam Kenny.

I was surprised it lost more curves at the tips than it did in the middle...thought it would go the other way around..oops

My bbo lost more in the center than the tips.
I thought it was because of the wood being thicker there.
Thought the same thing would happen on this tri lam...guess not..

You guys have any tricks for pulling off masking tape?

First time I've used it on a bow.

I just pulled up some where I'm going to glue the riser/handle on.

I pulled toward the tips, but I still got a few very small splinters that wanted to pull up and run. No biggie having it happen here.

..just mostly worried about taking the tape off the back and having splinters pull up...

Thanks

Heat the tape lightly with a heat gun and it will pull right off...

Hi Bob,

I don't have the layout specs of the form here with me.
The form itself is steel.
The base is 8"x2" 1/4" wall
The pressure points are angle of 5/16" or 1/4"
The tube you can see thru is some 2x4x3/16".

For the bbo I built I didn't need the extra 2x4 tube as I was able to use spring clamps every where but the center and dips.

This time I needed to make space for c-clamps to fit under the bow and I didn't have any long enough for the center.

Using the tube for spacers worked nice since the clamps could fit right inside them.

Everything is just tack welded for easy removal.
I keep telling myself I should drill and tap the base...but I just keep not doing it...lol

The base was given to me by a good bud, and the other parts are just some scraps from previous projects.

I'll post the specs when I get back to work tomorrow.
