Finally cut down a decent bow tree.  Got a hackberry to cut to size and stack up in the wood room.  Least, I'm pretty sure it is.  Cork-kinda projections on the twigs, buds on the tips?

Nice pictures Rock, very sharp wenge, Shawn, sorry Bobby.. I haven't done any bow work for  2 weeks now. The super low temps and plus I started into my cluster headache cycle a week ago. Been getting  3 to 4 headaches a day and they suck big time. Finally ordered the medication yesterday to control them. But on the bright side it's going to be near 50 degrees here today:)

Man Shawn, that's a beauty. I've never seen wenge with such a spectacular grain.

Got a new puppy yesterday, a pit/something mix.  I'd get a pic if I could get him to slow down for a minute.  5/6 months old and possessed of boundless energy, and the people who had him had not attempted any training.  Luckily he's actually smart, and we have a very well trained dog in the house to learn from.

I've been busy with snow removal, cutting firewood and finishing up a kitchen remodel.  Winter has lasted too long already.  I need to make a bow oven and get started learning to make a glass bow.

That's some awesome looking wood!

Finished up a BBO and shot it in our indoor shoot today. Was able to get a second place win with it.
I only took one pic of it.
