Nice work on the outfeed table. If you don't mind a little input, cut a pair of slots in the table to line up with the slots in the table saw. They'll come in handy when you're cutting with the miter gauge.

I picked out my woods for the 2014 bow swap.  It's an all-american bow.  I have a few other choices laid out too.

Right now I'm going with walnut and myrtle riser.  Boo and myrtle veneers.

I somehow managed to have my spindle sander, belt sander, and last bandsaw blade break today...I guess I just wasn't supposed to work on my new r/d project this afternoon. I think this is a sign that I need to invest in some better equipment.

Definitely, my old table had them.  Actually, it had two sets as I upgraded saws during its life.  Just ran out of time the other night.  Last night was the archery club meeting, the last one with any officer duties for me!  Should finish it up and work on the bows a little tonight.

Assuming the furnance still works.  50 degrees in the house this morning.  Some water in the fuel line froze.  Think I fixed it, hope I got it all out so it doesn't re-freeze on me.  Otherwise my night may be spent re-fixing the furnace.

Got to work fixing the tip of a Hickory bow, thanks for the input guys. then got to work cooking a venison chili with the doe I got this year. Got it all simmering nicely then added some finely chopped jalapeno pepper to give it some spice. Unfortunately nature called and I made a quick trip to the little boys room and now the little boy is on fire    :scared:

Had a similar experience this summer Tony.  After chopping a few for a batch of chili I washed my hands with soap and water, even used a nail brush.  Several hours later while visiting some friends I made the mistake of rubbing my eyes, thought I was going blind, couldn't see for half an hour.  I'll be using gloves the next time.

Great vid. Whats the epoxy you're using? I'm having a deal of trouble over my way trying to source some conversion varnish.

Damn Tony, that's funny right there.  I've rubbed my eyes before.  I've even had my hands burn for hours.  But I haven't made that mistake yet.  (Purely out of luck I'm thinking.)

Got the two Hill bows trapped last night. Rounded the edges a bit and put in nocks.  Put 'em up on the wall to see where they landed.  The cherry/black locust one was about where I thought it'd be at 50#, but the yew with a thicker stack actually came in lower at 48#.  I was aiming to finish at 55#, that's a bit of a bummer.  But I guess if it shoots well enough it won't be a total loss.
