Thanks guys.

 It does feel good to be competitive with my buddies, using my hand made bows and wood arrows. Most of them shoot ILF target bows and all shoot carbon arrows.

Nice piece of wood Shawn for some reason I did not know that wenge had that much grain pattern. I guess I have not looked that closely at it before.

Here's the veneers before the glue up- the ones on the right are redwood burls- I've used those a bunch for table tops now I need to try some out in some limbs I think.

wow!...the one looks like stone and the other a strawberry sponge cake!- absolutely amazing- i have heard about the redwood burl- i believe its quite pricey.   :thumbsup:  very cool!!

Heres that top sheet of laurel glued up- I really like how it came out. The redwood burl was a bit more expensive compared to the laurel but not outrageous.

Balmy 84 degrees here today.  So I took everything out and cleaned the whole place up.  Now to decide to toss or keep.

Finished up my Hunger Games St. Jude's donation bow from last year.  The recipient said to take my time so I waited until the Feb. 1 bowmaking season opener to get her done.  Got some arrows to finish up and she is on her way.  30# at 26" for his wife.
