I've been knocking up my first go at a 'curve and feeling pretty happy with the result so far. Might have couple photos next week some time.

Worked on a bow I'm making just for me.  How selfish is that?

That will truly make a sweet riser! All the work that goes into a nice looking riser is one reason why I don't like to cover it up with a leather wrap.  - that will be a riser worthy to remain unwrapped!

Yesterday I got to meet Canopyboy. David was working in Pa here and stopped in for a visit last night around 6 PM. We had a few cold ones, walked down to the pond, then spent a few hours in the bow shop telling lies.. I sent him home with a real bow..  :)

I cut down a Eastern Red Cedar, I had to make room for my shop. I had the ends painted and sealed 5 minutes after it hit the ground.. I had to use one of my climbing tree stands to cut limbs up to 32ft high, then I tied a good rope onto it, cut the top section first, then the 21 ft trunk section..I ended up with 2 good sections, one is 18inch base x 21ft long with a 12" small end..the other log is 11 ft long with 12 in and 8 inch ends. I am hoping to sell the logs, if not then I will have to cut them into boards for future projects???

I climbed the tree and cut limbs as I climbed yesterday after work, I took 2 trailer loads to the burn pile before dark yesterday..got tree down today and After painting ends today I hauled another load to burn pile. I still need to knock down 2 small orange trees and some brush to make room for another shed

If I was close by, I'd buy some of that orange wood from you. My Dad has an old hand plane made of it and it's hard as rock.
It would make a nice riser.

The orange trees are small, if there is a piece big enough I could mail a chunk to you

Thanks for the offer, but I think customs would confiscate it for fear of importing bugs.
