Thanks guys! I was hoping that the maple in the riser would match the color in the limbs a bit better, since they came from the same board but....oh well maybe next time.

ouch...just got the estimate for totally rewiring my shop. All new wire from house to shop and all new electric in shop. It will be a much better shop, a lot safer than the extension cord mess I have been using. I will be selling off some of the tools I no longer use or need..like that used 2hp 4" x 132" Delta edge sander I bought 3 years ago, it's been in storage since I bought it. I recently upgraded my Grizzly 1140 6"x80" by adding a pattern sander to the motor end, so it will be the workhorse now replacing the little Rigid combo unit and the 6"x48" Craftsman sander.

Tonight Delongbows stopped over to lay out the plans to make a new set of limbs for my old bear takedown I bought in the early 70's. The top limb blew apart this past week at a trad shoot. That was quite a rush when it broke at full draw..  :)

Ouch!  That's a bummer Roy.  You didn't get hurt, did you?

The irony of it is that you're now dependent on one of us nasty glass bowyers for a fix.

Nope not a scratch... Just a broken heart, the bow was 42 plus years old. Damn glass bows anyway..  :)

Yup, you glass guys are nasty..  :)

Apart from your broken heart, I'm glad you weren't hurt.
Aint it spectacular though, when all that stored energy goes sideways?    :scared:
