Drum sander ?
« on: January 05, 2014, 08:17:00 PM »
Any of you guys own the G0716 10" drum sander? If ya do what do ya think of it.

Thinking about it or the  G0459 12" Baby Drum. Is the extra 150$ worth it?

Thanks
Cory

I've got the 10" and wish I would have bought the baby drum.
The 10" is pretty cheezzzy.
Thats just my 2cents.

I think the bearing on each side of the drum to prevent flexing is worth the extra money. I have had mine about 6-7 years now and cant tell you how many feet of lumber and bows have went thru it. I recently had to upgrade the feed belt motor other than that the only weak spot I have seen is the off-on switches.
