Carbon or not

Is there any point in putting carbon in the limb for the sake of stability and smoothness maybe, or will he and resin add only unnecessary weight .

This ain`t carbon- as the description tells it`s an alternative thing!
Shall add stability AND weight as well but gotta look cool under clear glass...

I have experimented quite a bit with different type of carbon last year. I have never used Stabil Core because I don't think you will gain a lot, if any performance. The carbon lams from Bingham Project were not really exiting either. To much resin and therefore they're to heavy. The best I have used so far was a unidirectional carbon band with some lateral fibers to hold everything in place ( something like this ).

No that stuff really rocks, saves weight on the limbs and adds a fair amount of performance. But you have to use it with care ( take the thin one ) because it puts a tremendous pressure on the belly limbs. If you use a veneer that can't take the pressure, the limbs might explode sooner or later. Don't ask me how I figured that one out...
