Finally finished my 1st kennnym bow
« on: January 14, 2014, 10:22:00 PM »
Well after 2 weeks of trying to finish this bow I consider it done. 64" kennym design 42@28#. Not perfect, but the imperfections make it perfect to me. Not sounding all weird or anything but she hits where I aim. Good mojo. Another special thanks to the lam guru, Kenny, for all your help with making this bow. Now I haven't actually called him on this one but many emails and LOTS of looking at his bow build posts, invaluable information. Let's get to some pics....
here's the riser-charcoal actionwood with Osage and red phenolic with Osage and red phenolic riser overlays

and the bow

and full draw...

whoo whee, look at that boy's form-bow still up, locked on target

and the results @ 20 something yards
You can barely see my son's bow with training wheels in the background of the full draw pic. I haven't been shooting much, just working on the bow and I still grouped as tight as he did! Ok Kenny, now about that mild R/D bow I want to build.....

Great job there critman! Any imperfections don't seem to hinder the way it shoots. Time to make one for your son and get him hooked. Better yet, have him help with the build.
