My only promise was that I'd get my bow out earlier this year. Luckily, that was a low bar to set. I couldn't promise not to open my bow. It's like you're keeping your bowyer in suspense too. He wants to see pics of you with his labor and bask in your enjoyment of the bow.

Yes, I understand this too.  It would keep me in suspense waiting for my recipient to open his.  I hope I'm not being rude to Jim - I just don't want to hinder myself from getting mine out in a timely fashion.  I have been slacking a bit, but I've been trying to be a better daddy and husband, and unfortunately that takes time from what I'd rather be doing (jk!)  Anyway, now that I'm making myself wait, I'll probably camp out in the garage for the next week till I finish ******** *******'s bow!   :help:

I have to admit, I'm at work and had a moment of weakness and got on here to search back and see some build pics.  Now I really want to open it!  Ugh.    :banghead:
I'll get something done tomorrow.  Maybe try to get a limb glued up for *******.  Should have a bit of time before I need to sleep?

Well I had a package delivered on Thursday, but did not get home until Friday,   Thursday had to be the longest day I ever put in, and this was waiting for me in the garage.

Couldn't get a knife out fast enough to get the thing open, don't know how talkingcabbage is holding out,  this is what was inside.

John also sent a string keeper, the old shooting glove has been here for a while.
John thanks for a great bow I am sure I will be using it this year for hunting and stumping.

Your are definitely not being rude. Though I should mention that I included something extra that might be used on your build.

Great looking bow! Worked for a couple hours on my swap. Super happy with how she is working out! Fades came out perfect in my eyes, profile is looking great and I'm right on track with the weight! Just need to wait for the overlays to arrive so I can continue on and start shaping the riser and tips.

Just a little preview!!!
