Thanks, Tony. The bow is 2 5/8 on the belly and 2 1/8 on the back at the fades, which means the back was trapped 1/2" (1/4" on each side). I could have gone more and/or made the bow a bit narrower to reduce the mass of the limbs. However, I like to make my hickory bows a little wider and dead flat across the belly, as past experience has taught me they fret easily and/or take excessive fret if they're too narrow or rounded about the belly.
I also usually will heat treat the belly, which enhances the effect of trapping (that is, further equalizes the tensile/compression forces). I didn't on this one because it came out nice and only has about 5/8" of string follow, making it a nice, smooth shooter. Hope that helps!
