Youll be happy to know i got a trilam on the works.  Among other things.... Character osage, sinew backed ERC, black locust takedown.  Ya know this bowbuilding sure does slow down when ya got ADD.

i vote for the dark one as well goob.

got a new blade for bandsaw, but.....now it won't start. changed it out and motor aint coming on, light and laser work but no motor. might take a hammer to it soon for some "adjustment".

never had a problem with drawknife or scrapers doing this to me with blade work, may just go back to them.  ;)

Put the first coat of finish on mine today.  Eric, I also have a few others on the go.  There's another osage, a privet pole sorta r/d, a hophornbeam bendy handle, and a honey locust.  They're all self bows, if they live long enough.

I found me some sexy hop hornbeams a month or so ago while shed hunting.  Gotta go get em soon.  Sap should be up enough for the bark to peel off.

Great looking bows, guys! I'll take any of 'em!

Hafta apologize about no progress, Roy. Spent most of last week in a Little Rock hospital with my step dad. Had his prostate removed, poor guy!

I'll get back on it this week.

Got my swap bow all finished up. I typically do a simple wipe on finish multiple coats but I was thinking of investing in a sprayer and giving it a try on the swap bow. Gonna do some shopping and see if it is in the budget.

I will try to throw some pics up this week...

Aint that the truth! Part way into starting my swap bow, I decided I needed an edge sander. Grizzly was out of stock of the one I wanted, and now I started designing/building my own. And oh yeah, I'm thinking about making my first D/R with some fancy veneers. Oh, and I want to get the sinew backed ERC going. And guess what? I just thought of way to make the sander better. Time to send out my swap bow wood to be made into lams. I wonder if I could re-create this 59 Kodiak form? Dang, my idea for a swap bow riser seems kind of lame next to all of these guys. I wonder what this would look like? Oops, sent that out for lams. Need to buy some glass. Let's buy some brown glass while we're at it. Wonder what I can make with that? Wait, focus - back to the swap bow. Wait, what?
