Nice Kenny- your going to like that riser with the curly maple I beam once you cut into it. After I took off the blue tape my bow got a little more appealing to me- now to get a shooter out of it and hit weight. Put some oil on the riser and limbs to get a feel for how it will look with finish-

dang trux, nothing like milkin out the first week of the swap to finish, ya slacker!

Dr. Evil KennyM up to it again, lookin good Kenny.

I've got a couple to finish first then onto the swap bow. Got it narrowed to a take down and just running woods through my thick skull.

Kevin, I feel the pain.

Trux, (closes door to office, leans close to monitor and says,,,) I wish my wife was that ugly.

Kenny, there ain't words to describe the pain my jaw felt when it hit the floor.

Started on my trade bow this evening, got about a third of the back ring chased.  Not sure yet what style.  We'll see what she wants to be when I get the back done.

Yeah, Trux is just fishing for compliments! So I won't comment on his gorgeous bow.

Kenny, I definitely like the way your sense of taste shows up!

Craig, tie a rope around your waist and attach it to the door.  Maybe you'll find your way back to us.

David, it is gonna be a sweetie!! I kinda like how you do the belly glass at layup, might simplify things somewhat!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Yea Kenny I'll do them without the flat spot if I'm going to make a low wrist grip- probably could do that with all of them. Red I'll still name it "ugly- lol... Now I do have some cow horn or black water buffalo I can use on the tips... What do you all think??

Not sure if this bow is for the swap or not, but it could be. I have 5 months to decide:) Just removed the rind off the boo here. I hate that job, too meticulous for me:)

Tri lam, Osage belly, walnut core, backed wif boo. Cow horn tip over lays. It's pushing 50 pounds, recipient wants maybe 55. Not sure if I should send a bow 5 pounds under. Once the stain is on her, the boo will really jump out. Sanded the boo with 320 paper, rubbed it with denatured alcohol to get it wet, looking for scratches. But ya never find them all till the stain is on, then it's sand again time:)

Chased rings on both osage staves today.  Got a coat of tru oil on each as a sealer.  Ill get the layout drawn up on each tomorrow... And start up on whichever one i like best.  Hopefully my new bandsaw blades will be here tomorrow an i can get em roughed out.  Theyre both readin about 13% mc so ill let them sit a while once roughed out... And ill go ahead and finish up my own bow  :)

Very nice as always roybert.

Kenny! That action wood insanity is great! Reminds me of teak/holly marine ply.  Very cool.
