I'm home all day today!

A couple of riser blocks went in the oven today. They've been baking nicely for a couple of hours now. I expect 'em to be done around 1600. Need to take care of a tree job for an elderly neighbor tomorrow morning, hopefully there's enough time in the evening to get a riser prepped and a bow glued up. I'd love to leave town with a blank ready to shape when I get back. (I head to Vancouver on Tuesday to pick up my bow from Timbermoose. I hope he's finished with it in time!)

Ok, the postman drove up the road while I was at the neighbor's house. As I was mowing the neighborhood road edges working my way home, he came back by and stopped to talk. Asked me how bow season went this year, etc. I figured he was playing with me. I had high hopes for a few minutes there. But no luck. Oh well. I always feel better with the idea that I don't get my bow before I get my recipient's done.

After a weekend with my brother listening to gobblers down at our new-to-us camper in Southern IN, on the border of the Hoosier National Forest, I come home to a wonderful sight of a PVC tube on my porch.

I couldn't get it open fast enough and saw it was the gorgeous bow from Redbeard126.

I had a blast shooting it for the first time today.  It very sweet and I might just tote it during turkey season.  Thanks to Redbeard and all those who make this swap so much fun.

Take a kid hunting!

Congrats John!

Craig: Be there Tues - Sun. Not sure what my free time will look like yet though.

Weekend got away from me. No surprise really. Still have some hopes of cutting out the risers tonight, but lots of other stuff between me and bed time. At least I'm two months ahead of last year!

SQUIRREL!!!! After neighbor 1's big tree job this morning, neighbor 2 wanted a couple little ones down including an 8" hickory that was perfectly straight and branch free for the first 12 feet or so.

You gotta love how hickory bark peels this time of year!

Just a reminder and to double check my data these folks need to ship by 13 Jun (or have a completed bow if they are shipping to someone on this list) I have taken off the ones I am tracking that have completed their bow/shipped if they can. Let me know if you are done and I just screwed up.
