I got a great gift in the mail today.  D sent me parts and fire hose for free to help get my form ready to use.    :clapper:

I am getting there slowly but surely.  I hope I don't disappoint my recipient or D!  :)

That is sweet as they get tc someone is going to be stoked to get that one...I got a chance to shoot my trade bow ...going and received....the one I am working on is shooting good a bit stiff on the upper, as far as the one Kenny sent me....I live by the fact that the fantasy is more times better than reality....not in this case man this things a shooter , fast and hits where I point....2 years in a row a deadly accurate trade bow!!! A pic of the first 3 arrows and a pic of last years trade along side of this years....thanks guys!!!

Joe you can't send it yet. I'm still on the page 112 list and we wouldn't want to break any rules by sending it to me early  :)

Don't worry Razorback.  I've got a pm in to Kelly to let me know when to send.  Wouldn't want you to get your bow too early anyway  :)   Or wait, maybe it was for Roy. . . or D?  Or maybe Kenny?  Wait, no, it was for jsweka?  Dang, now I can't remember.

Your very welcome Scott.  The hose wouldn't have been possible if Josh (goobersan) wouldn't have gave me some hose to begin with.  This site is just awesome.

Cabbage that curve is sweet looking.  I really like the braced profile.  Great looking riser too.

Soy I really like the wood in that riser and the limbs.  All the bows this year have been stinking awesome.

There sure are an awful lot of nice bows. You just can't say enough about the craftsmanship around here. I'm still slacking since it's lacrosse season and my hops need to be planted. Still debating if I want to cut this year's swap bow in half or get a couple under my belt first    :dunno:

Soy, those are a couple of fine looking bows!  Kenny I think you out did yourself this time.   :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :notworthy:

However, I am a firm believer that, though the bow being shot plays an important part, good shooting is mostly the result of the person drawing the string.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Soy what finish did you use??  I really like the look of it.

I made a new string for mine tonight.  Its 12 strand D-97 with padded loops.  I'm not the best string maker.  I keep getting a little cabeling when I do my second loop. What am I doing wrong string guys??  They shoot fine but just one of those things that aggravates me.

My bows short too 56.5 ttt.

Hey D check out the string making tutorial at RMSGear. They're a sponsor here. They explain how to prevent cabling. after making your first loop you have to untwist each bundle, and then re-twist the same amount in the opposite direction so when you make your next loop the bundles un-twist. So when you are done making the loops and go to twist the bundles together they will blend together nicely. (Does that make sense)? Watch the video tutorial and it will!
