Some lucky guys with nice bows.... Can't beat that! I got a 3rd coat of Tung oil on mine tonight, think I'll put a few more on and shoot the heck out of it then spray some poly on it and see if I can send it off.

Well I got caught up. I am tracking 3 in the mail and 12 bow received total this year.

I have a hickory backed hickory I am going to start tillering. I need to scrap from the back for the belly is thin.

It was a self bow but blew and came apart like a lam bow. So I shaved it down and glued a hickory backing strip off. I will try and get pics up.

I just need to scale my bow, write on the details and finish the spray finish.

Soy, I love that hairy oak from down under. I need to work a trade for some!

I put the tip overlays on my bow today and all it needs now is some final sanding and tweaking before finishing. I'm having one problem though. The suitcase scale I use to weigh my bows says 47# at my draw length, but my arm says much heavier. What do you guys use to weigh your bows?

I use a Hanson #100 scale on a drawboard for weighing my bows. I would like to upgrade to a digital scale someday...those little lines get harder to read as time goes by...lol!
