I am a little late, got tied up with 75-80 hour weeks at work for the past month.  Then with the St. Jude's auction, haven't had time to even look at wood let alone do any shaping. It he slowed down and I blocked out this weekend. My goal is to ship it on Tuesday.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

That's a quick turn around Walt!

Today I stripped the finish all of the way off my swap bow and started over. Just sprayed the last coat. Handle wrap is already formed and dyed. Tomorrow morning I apply the wrap early before taking it to the range to show off and put a couple more arrows through it before wrapping it up and sending it next week. *************** should have it by next weekend I'm hoping, although the holiday might delay shipping a touch.

Wow, nothing worth posting since yesterday?

Well, I've got some pictures to prove I'm done. Bow will ship on Wednesday.

I'm still trying to get used to the look of a reverse handle Hill bow, but it only takes one shot to get used to the way they shoot. I think Sweka and I will both be making another one like this bow before too long.

Great looking bow- that riser is awesome! What's the light colored wood in it?

Curly maple. But I made the I-beam a bit too wide, so most of it disappeared as I brought the grip to size. Kinda left a cool effect when done though, and the cocobolo really looks better anyhow.

Really sharp looking bow, Canopy!  I like everything about that stick.  Great work!  :)

Yes Sir!  I definitely see the next bow I build for myself being very similar to this one.

Great Job Dave!

That one is sharp! I've always wanted a reverse handle hill!

I got things lined up today and am within 6# to 8# of final weight. I'll start shaping the tips and handle, get the bow sanded and do a bit of shooting. I know I'm getting close to my deadline but it should go out on time.

That reverse handle is pretty slick.. I wouldn't mind throwing some arrows through it.

Couple nice bows! Like the reverse handle and especially the curly maple.Re the moose horn tips been wanting to ask some one this, does antler or horn ever seem to crack when used,  as I noticed some of my antler stock always gets cracks in it.

Nice reverse handle! I am getting ready to build a curly maple / cocobolo riser for a three piece takedown and wondered how they would look together. You answered that...I think that is a great wood combo.

I was out working in the garage this morning when the mailman pulled up next to my driveway. I thought YES!! The swap bow is here! The I watched as he walked across the road to put mail in the boxes. So, I said to myself, he'll get rid of the regular stuff, then he'll pull a long tube out of the van before he leaves.
No such luck.    :(    He never parks on my side of the road! OH the anticipation!    :)
