Dropped the bow off about 30 minutes ago. Somebody to the west of me might get a bow on Saturday, but definitely by Monday.

Whoo-hoo! I'm in before the 13th... Now to sit back and watch the remaining parade of bows on my screen. Some great looking bows out there.

I have been slow due to some things beyond my control, but my bow will be in the mail in about 2 weeks. There is very little left to do to it before it gets mailed.

Thanks guys- you helped showing me that I`ve picked the right decision...
Only picking a afford- and relieable logistic, ~8000km and the US customs are between the bow and his new owner   :p

I got my swap bow....I think.

Its a hickory selfbow but I don't know who to thank because there is nothing written on the bow not even specs and nothing but a zip code on the shipping tube.

On my way toba 3d shoot now so will post a couple pics later today.

Thanks for the bow mystery builder.

That was mine, I have trouble writing legibly because of my hand being trashed and I didn't want to trash your bow.  Hickory with maple and walnut veneers, and stingray grip and arrow pass?  I just hope it works out for you.  Tillered all the way to 30" so your 29" will be just fine.

Let me know if there are any problems.

Making progress. Plan C is tillered and has a couple of coats of finish.
Now waiting on a trip to the store for more finish.

Recieved. It's beautiful. Thank you canopy boy. I've been liking the idea of a forward handle hill for a while now.  Now I have one! It's like I ordered it.  The details and finish are fantastic.  I'll post pics in a few days of it up a my local range.

Least I didn't drag forever for my first year.  Was a real concern after the stroke.

Wonder if I should do this again next year?  My recipient would probably be best suited to say...

Trying to ship today.
Missed weight by 2 pounds on the low side.
Would have liked to tiller a little more but would have lost too much weight.

I realize my above post could have been construed as antagonistic to other bowyers.  I simply meant myself against myself, as after the stroke I had a long conversation with myself about joining, which I did in the end.  I feared I would not be able to deliver, and it feels good to have followed through on my promise to the group.

Felt so good I bought a bandsaw.  Looking forward to next year's swap.

Humidity has made getting my hickory bow finished, very difficult. Have had it in a room with a dehumidifier and will work on it this afternoon and see how it feels. I have a plan c, if this keeps giving me problems.
