I have made some good progress on my take down.  Got it strung up and no twist.  Also, the limbs did not blow up.  Ha Ha

It is out of tiller and I am working on that.  It is also heavy and working on that.  Sorry no pics.  Try to post some later this week.

Kelly my bow is in a tube setting by my kitchen table ready to go. The wife was going to send it off yesterday but she had to make a quick trip up to Amarillo her mom suddenly got Sick and is in the hospital with high fever... Being 85 that's not good. I've had several PM's with Kelly the last 5 or 6 weeks and it's been a really bad couple months for me... Put my last coats of Polly on my swap bow back on May 22. Looking good till 23rd and mother inlaw gets sick... 4 days in Amarillo back on Monday after the Holliday, big rain while I was out of town and had a couple sky lights leak and worked 2 evenings after work and got those fixed. Don't won't to bore anyone but it gets worse... Get a call from my dad not feeling good so me my wife and sister run up to New Mexico to check on him, not good he kinda yellow. He goes to the doc for a checkup on Monday June 2 and he's told he needs to go to Lubbock ASAP. Well to make a very long week short we found out on Wed. He most likely had cancer and Thursday morning the results came in and it was a stage 4 liver cancer and Sunday the 8 th he passed away. Man it was tuff but I'm glad he didn't suffer long. Now it's still not over mom inlaw sick and my best friend and cousin is laid up with cancer in the bone don't have but a few days left..... Big guy 6'2 over 300 and now maybe 180 prolly less. He gave me several take down bows he could no longer shoot and several 100 arrows last year. I'm praying he doesn't hurt any longer, every day has been a bad one for him since my dad's funeral. Anyway it's been a tough one and I'm glad I finished the bow when I did or I'm sure it wouldn't have got done anytime soon. I really hope to get it out this week, with all my time off things got way behind at work and the this past weekend I was on call but thankfully I didn't get called out and got the bow in a tube ready to ship. I'll let you know Kelly when it's shipped... This P.O here is open Monday thru Friday 9 to 4 so it's hard for me to be there when it's open.

I haven't posted much here but the above couple posts struck a cord with me. As someone who has worked in healthcare nearly 30 years I've seen the toll health issues can have on a family. These are just bows. Take care of family first and don't stress over a deadline. I've seen some amazing generosity among the members here and I'm sure your recipient will understand if its a little late.
What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us.

I have been slammed at work this week. All done except the finish. A couple of coats today and couple more tomorrow. I hope sending it out on Monday will be OK.
