One of my zebrawood tip overlays cracked, yesterday, so I had to glue on another. I will resand and add more coats of finish, today. I am trying to decide on a leather grip for this one, though. It may take an extra day, but I think it would be worth it.

Got mine strung and tracking good.  Worked the tips down and got the tiller looking much better.  Still some tillering to be done and now to work down the riser.

Guess what I found on my door step when I got home from work? That's right, a beautiful long wooden crate!! Little did I know that a drop dead gorgeous bow was inside. Jorgy, this bow is amazing. Beautiful wood combination too. I cant thank you enough for the work and attention to detail you put into this bow, truly spectacular.

Thank you so much. I will post more pics when I can.

as you know, i have already break 2 bows for this years swap and the 3rd one is gonna break since there is little crackling sounds. huh...

i shot 2 arrows, it is ok but, i do not want to ship this one because of this weird sound... i want to give him good...

so i talked to kelly (bless him), asking if it is possible to give me some more time to build another one or do i have to ship it now? just itching to make one more try  :D

i made casts and put the limbs on.
i hope this week i will be shipping new one or the back-up plan bow.

best.

will share the picture when i have something...

best.

and thanks for patience.

btw:

i realized that swap bow facility is making far distanced people get close to each other. now, i feel like i am sitting on a camp chair by the fire and talking to my friends. well i think this is the spirit of this.
these are not the droids you are looking for.

Ink that's exactly what this is.  sitting around the campfire with friends.  so take your time on that bow.  if making bow's has taught me anything it's patience.

Since I missed the deadline, I sent my recipient an email with a couple of pics for a progress report. I am in the finishing stage and it should go out in a few days. He is OK with that.

Ok, so I have gone to plan C and should have it finished by this weekend. It was an earlier bow and just needed some tweaking to fit my recipient. Going put a final couple of coats of poly on it write on it and do the handle wrap.

With the deadline up I've been checking the porch everyday! Had a longer package show up... Thought it maybe a takedown bow... Nope just my camera slider

I am ready to ship tomorrow.Still waiting for a finish touch up to dry enough to wrap. Sorry for being late, but things happen. The final bow is a 65" Hop Hornbeam longbow, 48@28. nothing fancy, but I think it shoots good.
 Sorry for being late.
