Thank You Kevin Hartman. aka. kevin_h
Arrived today .

Wow, this is the best BBO I've ever seen.
The weight came out just right. The horn tips and arrow side plate are really great. Nice leather handle wrap.
There will be a delay in. My drawing it due to some complications with arthritus.
This will certainly give me some incentive to work into it by hunting season.

Kevin makes a fine bow.  I was the proud recipient of his bow last year and really enjoy shooting it.  He's quite the knapper, too! Congrats Macbow.

Sorry about your patch of rough going, Pat.  I think that's the very reason I enjoy making my own bows, arrows, quivers, knives, backpacking equipment, egg sandwiches, stupid mistakes and messes. When one hobby goes south I take up another for awhile.    :D   Whoever is getting your bow will realize the wait was more than worth it!  :)

Well, I am getting  close to shipping.  Bow is finished.  I am stretching out a new string, and will get her shipped out next week.  Here are a couple pics of the riser.  I will post some completed pics tomorrow with a brace and full draw shot.

Lots of good looking bows going out.  Good work guys.

Mack,

I inlaid a chunk of black leather and then about 15 coats of thin CA glue, then sanding in between coats, with a final sanding of 600grit...

As for brace height, 6 1/2 to 7"....always works for me.

Beautiful work, David. I really line the clean, gentle profile of that riser and wood combo.

Thanks guys for the comments.  My first bow with my own ground lams.  Thanks to Kenny for the lesson.  I don't have a chrono but I can tell it is pretty quick.

A quick update. I think the 4th time is a charm. I finished the tiller and ready to start shooting. It ended up being some where between 4 & 93 1/2#s and draws out to a smooth 20 something inches. It is an osage self bow and absolutely full of knots for a lot of character. I am trying to get pics uploaded and hope to shoot it a bunch tomorrow. I will start the finishing touches hopefully tomorrow afternoon.
I will keep you all posted and get some pics up. Hope to ship this week. I really hope ****** **** will forgive the tardiness.

By the way guys,  I got to lay eyes and hands on David Flanrey's bow. The pics do not do it justice. It's a real looker.
Some great looking bows being finished up.
