I gotta give John from OMC credit for the veneers. Seems he always has something for me to drool over.
Same form, although I had hoped to make these one-piece but I just can't seem to find the time to do it right.
Great work everyone !   :clapper:

Another fine bow, and another happy recipient! Great job everyone!
A friend of mine stopped by before work to check out my swapper. He's primarily a wheel shooter, but he really liked this bow, and said the grip was perfect. He wants one just like it. Here he is at right about 30"

Kelly, get that right limb bending more before stressing that left limb anymore then stay away from the inner portion of the left limb until everything is bending evenly and together.
All I need to do is write the info on my trade bow, add 2 more coats of Tru-Oil and put another 75 arrows through her. Then I'll be shipping her off some time next week. I'll let you know when the bow is on her way.

Thanks Dave! It's a bit of an asymmetric design. The bottom wedge is a little shorter, and the top limb is a tad longer. I'm really happy with the shooting characteristics of this design.

Here are a few pics of the trade bow I'll be sending out soon. I only draw 26" and my recipient draws longer so I'm not getting the full potential when I shoot her but she seems like a pretty good bow. She is a tad bit shocky but not bad. I have tillered this bow out 1" past my recipients draw length and exercised her plenty. I've put 60 arrows through her but need to shoot her a bit more. Here are a few pics...

Pat that is a great looking bow. What is the backing, some sort of bark or a fancy camo paint job. I'm still waiting on my bow, so make sure you get the address right      :readit:

Thanks Tony. It is a rawhide backing with leather dye blotting done with a dry sponge.

Pat , I love the finish on that bow. Looks great!

I shipped my bow this morning. Shows that it should arrive Saturday morning.  Hope he likes it. It has more character than any how I've built so far.

Thanks guys. I've been off this summer for some reason. It has been a struggle getting one worth the trade done but she is almost ready to go to her new home.

I apologize for being late this year.  No legitimate excuse for not getting it done on time other than the gout kept me from doing anything for close to two months.  The foot finally healed up enough for me to get out into the shop, below is the result.  Lacewood and Cocobola in the riser ; Lacewood veneers on the belly; cocobola veneers on the back; black glass, lacewood and cocobola on the riser and tip overlays.

It goes out to the recipient in a couple of minutes.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.
