Kelly I think the right limb could use to bend a bit very close to the riser. It's almost like the fade itself extends 6" or so past the riser. Looks like it's not really bending at all. You could bring that bending in closer to the riser on the right limb. Just be careful not to scrape he mid-inner area which seems to be bending nicely now.

John, I ended up with a set of heavy laminated birch arras recently. I think they're about 775 grains. They agree well with Justin's bow.

And what does "laminated" mean? Plywood?

More like LVL than plywood. All the layers are laminated with the grain going in the same direction. I don't know much about them, but found this thread about how people like them for a tough, heavy shaft:

thanks for the in put. A bit on the inner of the right. a bit on both the outer. I will work on that tomorrow. I hope to get it to the draw length tomorrow after work got home a bit late. I really need to heat it up and get the string tracking.

I have to spray one coat of flat, hopefully tonight or tomarrow, then wait a couple days and shoot it one last time, then box her up and ship her out! Should be in the mail next week sometime.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

I'm getting closer just some final shaping.  Always seem to get hung up on minor decisions and have to think them through forever!

Finish the bow awhile back but there is some hairline cracks on the back of the bamboo; its about 16 inches down the top limb and there are two other cracks. My first with bamboo backing   :dunno:  So what I'll do is send one of fine bows that I got in the one of the TradBow exchanges and make another one to fulfill the exchange.  Thanks

Ok I have her pulling 63@27". In the pic it is pulling 26. I have put some arrows through her so I can call her a bow. I may scrap some more but I really need to get some heat in the handle.

I know the left outer 3rd looks a bit stiff. I have plenty of wood left and am almost to the draw 6-8" to go.

let me know what yall think.

oh and I have not done any heat on the limbs so they are as they were when I started plus very little set that I can see.

Well I am not going to scrap on it for a little bit. I am drinking some sweet tea checking what is going on, on here then off to had a lot of heat to the handle area to try and get the string align a bit better.

Well it took some heat and I am waiting on it to cool but I think we will be close enough when it cools but only time will tell.

Where the heat was applied.

end to end kind of.

I used my thigh to add pressure and when I felt the wood relax I would add a bit more until I had it where I think it should be. I know it will spring back a bit.

Then I wrapped that rope around it heated it again press a bit more feeling the wood relax more then I would wrap and pull the rope. wrap and pull until I had it to where it is now That is why some slack is on some of the loops. But we shall see in the AM. Unless I just cant stand it after we get back tonight I might take it off and just take a peek see.

Thanks bowhnt! You'll just have to wait and see. I got the flat on, now just have to see how she looks when she dries. I hope one coat will do, cause I know the flat is a bit softer than the gloss, so I'd prefer to not add a second coat.  I should know by morning.
