I understand the frustration. I have no worries so far that none are being worked on or are close to ready I think about four who need to ship are waiting on us who are on the hold list.(not looking right now) and I think 4 are in the mail so really we are waiting on a couple like me.

I will look at who is waiting and who has not shipped and get some PM going and get updates on here.

I did just shoot off and email to one who I have not heard from and has not been on tradgang for some time. He told me his bow was ready to ship a while back and I asked him to hold it for just a bit longer and don't remember why. I hope that one goes out soon also.

Roy you would be missed for sure so don't make me come to PA and hold your beer hostage until you sign up.

Kelly, ya have my address boy.  :)
I know things happen also, but it would be nice to have input here from those still building bows.

Yeah, but some people aren't the kind of people who log in very often. And when they do, some people subscribe to the philosophy of two ears and one mouth. Besides, we aren't all retired and can just sit around racking up post counts over 7k....

This was my first swap, shipped my bow on time, never heard a word from the recipient,   :dunno:  I hope all is OK with him.  I received a beautiful bow on time. I will enter again if time allows, as was said, it is a good excuse to build a bow. actually working on my first takedown now, don't know what the excuse was for that,, Oh yeah deer season is here.

I plan on signing up in the next swap and would have this one if I had learned of tradgang sooner. On the plus side I did get a couple more bows under my belt. Roy, you can't bail out untill I get one of your bows. It may take a few years so hope u stick around awhile!!   :biglaugh:

Ok I put on the writing and one coat of tru oil on the belly. I will get a coat on the back tomorrow. I have the string served up and ready also. She want be the prettiest bow in this dance but I bet you want mind and will be glad you danced.

Here who has not gotten a bow. I am tracking 3 in the mail.

Al Dean

I know 3 were on the hold list so their bows were held until they shipped.

So we are close.

If you have not shipped please update so I know you still working. It is getting to the point I will have to boot folks and find backs ups.

You can PM me if you wish.

I will post picks once I get mine all decked out.

Ok I have scrubbed my data. I was able to verify one bow was received by its tracking number back in July. Please if you get your bow let us know.

So we are down to 8 needing bows.

Most have updated me in the last month but at this point I need a weekly update on these bows. Trust me I know life happens. A broken ankle was thrown my way just after we started. I had no Ideal of how long the recovery was for that or i would have dropped out then.

But we owe it to the ones waiting updates. I don't like banning folks from this but will I have a running list that goes back to 2011.

Now stop reading and get to working.

yes... this is good excuse for me also build a bow and i know that i am not an expert but i am trying hard to make it good looking and good working.

also receiving some nice works is plus. i do not care if do not receive one,(btw: i have waited 2 year's for the my swap bow "patience"  :D  ) i will be joining next year as well. when i told my wife that i am gonna be in for next year she told me that i am a freak! well i know that i am freak of bow yes. hehe...

i already started next one. i found a carpenter around here who is very excited about making new stuff and when i said him a bow making and bow casting making, he felt like he is in heaven.

well he is going to make me a casting and the lams.

2015 swap will be ash 3 pieces take down recurve. expecting weight can be #40 - 50.

kelly, my friend, count me in for the next year's.

best.
these are not the droids you are looking for.

If anybody pulls my name next year....

And needs to troll for details....I am making it easy on you...

I really like Hill style long bows...

I have to start now, because I am making a two piece sinewed osage...slightly recurved tips ...in the 54" range..it will be a short bow for sure.. Stripping down the moose tendon that was taken this year as we speak... Whaat a pain!

I'll be sending my bow out on the 3rd. Went to post office yesterday and nearly got raped. I think they make up the rates as they go.

My wife says only way I'm allowed in swap next year, is if I request a bow in HER specs. Hmmmmm.
