Just kidding guys... Just got the call that a long package just showed up at my house... On patrol tonight for a long shift and now it's gonna be longer. What a sweet looking bow!

Thank you mike Lee for a great hill bow! I will take better pictures tomorrow when it's not raining like cats and dogs outside.

What kinda wood is in it? Black walnut, zebra, and maple???
Also included a cool handmade single arrow holder for stalking!

Ok we are down to only 5 folks left needing bows. and 3 in the mail one we know is being worked by a back up bowyer an the last still being worked.

Now I went out hunting this evening and was home for like over an hour. I seen the Paw Paw seeds ks trapper sent me. But for over an hour I was the owner of a new Osage bow with timber rattler skins. And Wood overlays on the tips. This is the most petite bow I now own and really know I make clubs after this one for sure.

Thanks Michael AKA mjwhitby you are truly a master at this craft. I took it right out in the dark and shot her twice and the arrow is to stiff for my current hunting bow but this bow loved it.

I will shoot it a bit more tomorrow and try and get pics up but My photo bucket is acting up.

Just wow. I am very lucky. Sorry for making you hold onto it so long but wow.

I'm really glad you like it. The skin  didn't come out as good as I had hoped. I'm nowhere near a master. I'm still a beginner and look forward to hearing what you guys think of the bows I build. I've only seen a handful of selfbows aside from what I've built so I really don't have a lot to compare my work to. So feel free to critique, I need to hear it.

You nailed, Justin.  The walnut has been in the family since 1955 when my father in law had some boards rough sawn from a large tree he helped a friend take down.  That is well traveled wood!  From its origins in Omaha, it has been to Paris France where it rested peacably in storage for about four years.  Then it was off to Sacramento for a few years and then several times across the country before landing in Northern Virginia for a spell and finally out to Colorado and eventually into my hands.

The maple and zebra are everyday Binghams.

Sorry it does not hit the weight you expected.  Had to reduce the width a bit more than planned and it cost a few pounds.  The riser and tip overlays are also walnut.  Those on the tips are sorta stabilized with Min Wax wood hardener, but probably not ok for fast flight

I always chrono my bows and this one turned up an average 164 fps with a 525 gr arrow and 156 fps with a 650 gr arrow.

Hope this bow serves you well.  If it comes apart, let me know and I'll build another for you.

Says it made it through customs so hopefully someone should have a new bow this week.

Sorry for it being so late, just had a crazy busy summer with my real job and home repairs after a big hail storm. Only took a couple pictures so all will have to wait for some more from whomever receives it.

Moose, I think you may be the only one left with customs requirements. Cat may be out of the bag, looks good.

Ahh, come on Roy. Not everyone's recipients of osage end up in the situation yours do.
